Want to know more about The RACGP Foundation?

In recognition of the vital need for continuing research, the RACGP Foundation was founded over 50 years ago. The RACGP Foundation funds some of the research being conducted by GPs. The outcomes of the research helps to improve quality of care ensuring the best health outcomes for all Australians.

In order to support general practitioners and general practice registrars to conduct medical research into primary health care (in turn developing research career pathways), the RACGP Foundation raises funds to support a diverse range of grants, scholarships, fellowships and awards for our members.

By participating in research, general practitioners are building necessary evidence that enables the delivery of the highest quality care to all patients ensuring that general practice provides a service that is both clinically efficacious and cost-effective.
