Registration and delegate services

GP19 is open to all medical professionals and medical educations providers.
There are no ‘session only’ registration options available for GP19. We do however have one-day registrations available for Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
All alterations and cancellations need to be received in writing to gp19@racgp.org.au and will be subject to the relevant registration cancellation terms and conditions.
The only sessions that you need to pre-select during the registration process are the ALMs, clinical sessions, CPR workshops and social functions. All other sessions are open on a first come basis for seating.
We offer a Visitor Exhibition Pass which is $158.00 per person including GST. This pass entitles access to the GP19 exhibition for the day of your choice and catering. View the registration page for further information.
If your partner or guest would like to attend the conference or any of the social functions, they will need to register and pay for the whole conference, the days they wish to attend or the relevant social function.
Morning and afternoon teas and lunches are included across the three days. The Welcome Reception and farewell reception with drinks and canapés are included in full conference registrations.
The RACGP is pleased to again be able to provide onsite crèche facilities for GP19 delegates. View the crèche services page for further information.
All GP19 rooming allocations are fully booked. Please contact your preferred hotel directly to make any bookings.

Active learning module workshops (ALMs)
Yes, you can attend just the ALM workshop day by purchasing a one-day registration for Wednesday 23 October during the registration process.
Yes, you do need to be pre-registered to attend an ALM workshop. All ALM workshops contain pre and post activities that you will need to complete to be eligible to obtain 40 Category 1 QI&CPD points.
Registration is only available for one ALM workshop per person as they all occur at the same time. To earn your 40 Category 1 QI&CPD points you must be present for the whole ALM workshop.
If your preferred ALM workshop is full, you can select another ALM and be waitlisted for your preferred ALM. We will contact you if a place becomes available in your preferred ALM workshop.
To determine if your preferred ALM workshop is eligible for the Rural Procedural Grants Program, please contact the Faculty of Rural General Practice via rural.procedural.grants@racgp.org.au
QI&CPD
If you attend an ALM workshop on Wednesday 23 October you will earn 40 Category 1 points. For each day of GP19 that you attend, you will earn 10 Category 2 points to a maximum of 30 points for the full conference.
If you complete a CPR workshop during the conference this will allow you to complete your requirement for the 2017-2019 triennium and earn an additional 5 Category 2 points. Visit the RACGP QI&CPD website for more information about your requirements.
Yes, all delegates will receive a certificate of attendance following the conference.
In line with QI&CPD requirements, points will be allocated within 30 days of GP19 concluding. Please note, that any reinforcing activities must be completed before Category 1 points can be allocated. Should the activities not be completed in time, it may affect when the points are allocated to your account. This would affect specific individuals only and not all conference attendees.
The CPR workshops held at GP19 are a great way to complete for CPR requirements for the triennium and can be booked during the registration process. View the CPR workshop page for further information.

Onsite at GP19
GP19 runs for 3 days (Thursday 24 – Saturday 26 October 2019). There is a pre-conference ALM workshop day, which delegates may choose to attend, which takes place on Wednesday 23 October 2019.
The registration desk will be open during the following times.

To ensure delegates are as comfortable as possible at GP19, the conference dress code is smart casual with comfortable shoes. We will also have massage stations set up outside of the exhibition hall for delegates to enjoy.
Posters presentations will be on display in the GP19 exhibition hall. An exhibition floor plan is available on the GP19 website and will be available in the GP19 app and entry to the exhibition hall.
During the GP19 registration process, you have the opportunity to indicate any dietary requirements which are specific to gluten free, vegetarian, lactose intolerance and allergies. The Convention Centre staff onsite will be on hand to help direct you to the appropriate catering stations during the meal breaks.
Please note that individual food preferences cannot be accommodated at the conference.
On arrival to the Adelaide Convention Centre, please enter through the main doors of the East Building and make your way to the registration desk, which is located directly opposite these doors on the left hand side.
Medical student volunteers and RACGP staff will be positioned throughout the centre to help you find your way.
There will be additional mobile registration stations located throughout the venue with GP19 branding so you can locate them easily.
The daytime weather in Adelaide in October is an average of 21⁰C but evenings can be quite brisk as temperatures drop quickly.
If you experience an emergency during GP19, alert the nearest RACGP or convention centre staff member immediately.

The Doctor Wellbeing Zone is sponsored by headspace, a leading provider of mental health initiatives. The headspace team will be on hand to chat about how you can look after yourself through seated yoga, guided meditation and a mindfulness art wall.
The RACGP booth is where you can connect with your college and find out about how we can help you through the tools and services available. You can also take a moment out, sit in a comfy chair and enjoy some time either to yourself or connecting with colleagues.
An Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community art project will give you the opportunity to explore your creative side whilst meeting with other delegates.
A number of barista carts will be available for you to visit for a recharge to keep you going through the day.

GP19 is being held at the Adelaide Convention Centre. The Adelaide Convention Centre website has lots of detailed information to help you plan your journey to the centre for the conference from out of state and details of car parking for local delegates.
The Adelaide Convention Centre offer two undercover car parking options: North Terrace and Riverbank car parks.
Both car parks are located directly under the Centre and operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Each is fitted with video surveillance camera systems and security patrols both areas.

Located on the banks of the River Torrens, the Adelaide Convention Centre is easily accessible by public transport, including the free tram line that runs through the CBD. The closest tram stop is located right in front of the historic Adelaide Railway Station, which is just a two minute walk from the Centre.
In addition to this, a taxi rank is located on North Terrace, right on the Centre’s doorstep.

Speakers
We ask that speakers register at the registration desk located at the main doors of the East Building upon arrival.
You will then be directed to the GP19 speakers support centre. Here you will be supported by an RACGP staff member to ensure your presentation is loaded and ready for your session.
Plenary speakers for GP19 are Dr Martin Seneviratne, Mark McCrindle, Dr Sanjeev Arora, Dr Dana Newcomb and Jenny Brockie will be facilitating an interactive panel session.

AGM and Convocation
Presently, the RACGP Awards ceremony, AGM and Convocation will be held on Thursday 24 October from 4:30pm in Halls C&D (main plenary theatre for GP19) at the Adelaide Convention Centre. Entry is via the doors located on the ground floor of the convention centre.

We suggest that you check the program regularly as the event draws closer in case of changes.
If an RACGP member would like to attend the AGM they can come to Halls C&D at the Adelaide Convention Centre where they will be registered for the AGM and Convocation only. The RACGP team will have a full list of members and their voting eligibility at this registration desk.
