RACGP Rural education sessions




RACGP Rural will host education sessions within the GP19 program for GPs who work in a rural or remote setting. Find out below how these sessions can help you in your practice.


Harnessing the power of technology to advance rural general practice




This small group learning session will focus on how various technological innovations (such as telehealth resources, clinical apps, video conferencing, online training, and online networking) can be harnessed to advance rural general practice.

Participants will explore how GPs currently use technology and how to can further expand their use of appropriate technological innovations to improve patient care, support ongoing training, facilitate the development of networks, and support self-care.

The latest applications of technology in rural general practice, as well as the medico-legal issues, will also be considered.

Rural mental health: The consult room and beyond




In this discussion-based session, will encourage participants will consider recent developments in knowledge of individual and community aspects of mental health in the rural context and the steps to appropriately address mental health needs.

RACGP Rural Member Meeting

Join RACGP Rural for this important annual meeting with special guest Professor Paul Worley, National Rural Health Commissioner who will provide an update on the National Rural Generalist Pathway, and the government’s upcoming rural and remote health priorities.

This event is free of charge to members and all RACGP members are welcome to attend.

This meeting will also provide an overview of RACGP Rural’s key achievements over the last 12 months, recognise the annual RACGP Rural award winners for their contribution to rural general practice, and facilitate a forum for member discussion.
